Hi Joel, While we don't have a specific regular remote work schedule, we definitely allow ad-hoc remote work for staff in Access Services, as needed by their schedules and/or work patterns. For instance, if someone is in several web meetings on a single day it often makes more sense for them to work ...

This is way too long a list. I'm admitting that in advance, and you should probably ignore it if you want a quick-and-dirty listing that fits neatly into the $500 budget. Sorry! We actually don't have any dedicated budget for gaming at either my current or previous libraries, although the latter was made easier to bear by the presence of a long-standing (and not-poorly-funded) Gaming Society elsewhere in the school. Unsurprisingly (and, to me, somewhat depressingly), Call ...

While I may have been "free" of my library-ly duties during the break, I spent a large proportion of it working my second job - helping patrons customers locate the games they wanted (or didn't know they wanted) at my local Gamestop. That said, I also spent a fair amount of time "leveling" my switch-hitting ...

I suppose this post will also serve as a belated "intro" post, so greetings! I'm a life-long gamer (with tendencies towards strategy, role-playing, and tactical games) who recently moved from working in a college library to working in a high school library at a small private school in Baltimore. I ...

Humans Vs. Zombies started on our campus about 5-6 years back. Popularity seems to wax and wane, and a majority of the interest comes from a relatively limited number of people (based on when some of them graduate), but it generally seems to have at least 20-30 people every year. Part of the reason ...
