    Hello SAC members,

     

    The Tentative Subject List for July (List 2407) is now available:

    This list contains the proposed subject headings received by the Policy, Training, and Cooperative Programs Division from SACO members and LC catalogers. If approved, the headings will be added to the Library of Congress Subject Headings. LC catalogers and SACO participants are encouraged to review the tentative list and provide substantive input on the proposals.

     

    Comments and suggestions should be sent to listcomments@loc.gov by Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

     

    Also, an announcement has been posted regarding some of the proposals on Tentative List 2407, which are part of a project to cancel headings for words considered to be slurs: https://www.loc.gov/aba/cataloging/subject/slurs-project-announcement.pdf
