The new proposed element Expression " Format of Notated Movement" is justified as it will meet the dance community's needs to "record information related to the physical layout of an expression presented in the form of movement notation." And there is option to record "Details of Format of Notated Movement". This proposed new element will fill the functional gap for standardizing the capture of format characteristics in notated movement. I wish the proposal include a simple hierarchical diagram and some concrete examples to indicate the relationship between the new element, and its related existing elements such as Form of Movement Notation, Medium of Performance of Choreographic Content, etc. In summary, I approve this. Thanks!!! Amanda

Subject: Proposal to add the element Format of Notated Movement
Hi all,
Attached is the official proposal that we as a committee need to vote on to submit to NARDAC for review. This was submitted by Dominique Bourassa and Leo Martin to the committee for consideration. I modified the original proposal to eliminate the parts concerning the element Details of format of notated music since we recently approved a proposal to fully depricate all "details of" elements which are currently soft depricated. We approved the proposal earlier but we now need a formal vote before passing this along. Could I get a motion to approve the proposal and a second from members of the committee? If there are any amendments we can accomplish this after the formal motion is put forth and seconded.
Thanks,
Karl
