After an effort that began some 14 years ago, I have been able to engage the interest of a World-Class business process/concept/data modeler in the particulars of Library World information modeling and information system design. To alert the community to this development, I am posting the news here. I especially wanted to inform this IG of these developments.

As parties who must wrangle metadata schemes in service to your institution's and the larger Cultural Heritage (CH) community's missions, awareness of the evolution of an Essential Conceptual Modeling theory and practice that covers an enterprise from the top down could offer remarkable prospects for the creation of enterprise-grade "discovery, collection management, and metadata management systems.

Several of us have been working with David C. Hay (the featured author/slideshow presenter) on applying his methods to our very own community's FRBR. We are refining a slideshow that I plan on showing around ALA Chicago 2023 next month. Prior to that, I would also like to have David Hay preview the slideshow to you and other interested parties in your area, and discuss your responses to it and other topics.

Please take the time to enjoy the accompanying materials (starting with Read Me First) and let us know what you think in this discussion thread.

    Best Regards,
