Bio

I work as Director of the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium in central NJ.  We have 34 members (33 public and 1 county college).  I served on council a number of years ago as the Michigan Chapter Councilor and recently served as the NJ Chapter Councilor (2019-2022).

I am a member of SRRT, previously served on the Committee on the Status of Women in Librarianship, and the Committee on Legislation, the Subcommittee on Telecommunications, the Grassroots Subcommittee and the eRate Task Force.  I am also a member of the Freedom to Read Foundation.  I served as NJLA President in 2012-2013 and spent many years on NJLA's Public Policy Committee.

My main areas of professional interest are library technology, digital content, public policy, technology policy (particularly net neutrality and broadband access) and intellectual freedom.

I'm an avid sports fan with single-minded devotion to teams from Philadelphia, where I was born.  Don't believe what you read about Philly sports fans!  I love to travel, read, and work on family history.
