Hi, Alex
I never quite got this response off before NOLA came and has gone - please include me. This Caucus is very important.

Alex,
Thank you for being willing to help revitalize the Diversity Councilors Caucus. I definitely want to be involved again now that I'm back on council.

Subject: Diversity Councilors Caucus
Dear ALA Councilor Colleagues,
It was wonderful to convene with all of you either in person or virtually for the LLX event.
I am contacting you to begin the process of re-vitalizing the Diversity Councilors Caucus (DCC) which has been dormant since Midwinter 2020. Some of you may not be aware of this Caucus so I have included its statement of purpose from 2014:
"The purpose of the American Library Association Diversity Councilors Caucus is to advance the Association's stated goals of diversity and to further progress of under-represented diversity (in all its facets) into the fabric and leadership of the Association through active membership of elected councilors. Councilors who wish to integrate diversity principals and action within the Association are welcome and encouraged to join."
If you are interested in being a member of the DCC, please reply to me asap and I will have you added to the listserv.
I would like to convene a virtual meeting before Annual to review and revise, as needed, the statement of purpose, review activities typically undertaken by the caucus, identify a couple of folks to lead this group, and discuss any other topics of interest to you.
Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss.
Looking forward to the next time we are together.....
Warmest regards,
Alex
