Twenty-nine participants attended this first official meeting of the IG. Of them, eight were new to the group. We anticipate the group increasing in size with its formal recognition and incorporation into the ALA program. Since the scheduled speaker was unable to attend due to a last minute change in travel plans, the chair opened the floor for discussion. The discussion covered reports on FRBR activities within IFLA, workflow issues related to cataloging from a FRBR implementation, and possible areas for further research. Two new publications were briefly discussed; both authors (Arlene Taylor and Robert Maxwell) were in attendance.
