Meetings

The interest group will meet four times per year.  Two meetings will occur alongside the ALA Annual and Midwinter conferences.  The other two meetings will be held virtually in the fall and spring.

Officers and Terms

The interest group is led by co-chairs serving on staggered two-year terms.  Terms officially begin on July 1 and end on June 30 with a ceremonial recognition of the outgoing and incoming chairs at the Interest Group meeting that coincides with the ALA Annual Conference.

History and Purpose
This interest group was established in the Core Division upon the dissolution of the ASGCLA Division where it had existed for six years at the Consortial Ebooks Interest Group.  The Core Ebooks Interest Group exists to provide a forum for ongoing conversations among ALA members and others and to connect people to important issues and to one another.
