    Posted Jan 23, 2023 08:07 AM
We will host our January virtual zoom "Library Leaders Lounge" event this Thursday, January 26.

We have been discussing the topic of communication over the last three weeks and this will form the guiding theme for our Thursday drop-in chat. Please let us know if there are particular problems/issues you'd like help from the hive mind - or useful tools, positive experiences, or simply good ideas you would like to share with your colleagues.

The event will start at 9am PST/10am MTN/11am CST/12pm EST.  Participants can stop in for a minute, or stay for the entire session.  The event is open to anyone, but advanced registration is required by clicking on this link: January 26th Communication

Wow, what a great time we had in the Library Leaders' Lounge today.  More than 50 dropped in and joined the discussion about communication. There were public and academic librarians and library staff from across the country - a strong representation from Texas, and even a fried from Edmonton, Canada.  As we discussed, these drop-in sessions are not recorded to encourage a free and open exchange.

We look forward to our February discussions on the topic of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA).  Plan to join the threaded discussions each week, as well as our next Library Leaders' Lounge event on DEIA, scheduled for February 23.  The zoom session is free, but registration is required (see information here).
