At our last meeting, we discussed whether or not we should endorse ICOLC's statement on the metadata rights of libraries. I shared with the Core Metadata and Collections Section the concerns that were raised in our meeting and small group (Amber Billey, Claire DeMarco, Robert Rendall, and Steve Kelley) worked with ICOLC leadership to revise their statement and take out the concerning language. A new statement has been drafted, which you can read here.
A vote will take place on March 20 at the Section meeting; please indicate your endorsement (or not) of the statement in this survey. By the time of the meeting, I will vote according to the greatest number of votes.
