  • 1.  RFP: Leadership Symposium Facilitator, New England Library Association

    Posted Nov 23, 2022 10:25 AM
Hello all, I hope it is okay to post this here; if it isn't, please let me know and I will take it down if I can. (I know "job postings" are prohibited but I'm not sure if this sort of thing counts!)

I am on the Executive Board of the New England Library Association and we are seeking a dynamic, engaging, and enthusiastic facilitator for the 2023 New England Library Leadership Symposium (NELLS) for mid-career librarians. This program will be held entirely in person at the Von Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT on Monday, April 24, 2023 - Thursday, April 27, 2023.

This is an exciting opportunity to help guide participants through an experience that they will draw on for the rest of their career. NELLS is a fun and stimulating retreat focused on developing leadership skills and growing networks for mid-career New England librarians with some leadership and management experience. I was fortunate enough to attend several years ago and it remains one of my most treasured professional development memories. Many participants go on to directorships or other management positions, as well as leadership positions within professional organizations.

Please read the full RFP here. You can find more information about the NELLS program here (we are seeking facilitators for Tier 2 of the program). Interested applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, brief outline of their vision for this program, and fee requirements to nells-chair@nelib.org. Applications must be received by December 3, 2022 in order to be considered.
