Recommendation 1.1. Create the element Manifestation: extent of aggregated content
Comment: Generally agree - but where is the full text of the instructions? For suggested new elements, I expected to see the full text, even if it is as brief as note on collective agent. To fully understand how all of these proposals interrelate, the full context would be helpful.
Recommendation 1.2: Refer Format of notated music questions to Music WG.
Agree.
Recommendation 2: Update Manifestation: illustrative content to use values from RDA Aggregated Content
Agree.
Recommendation 3: RDA Aggregated Content Vocabulary Encoding Scheme
Generally agree, with the following comments:
3.2.2: Diagram Proposed definition: Aggregated content that is a geographic representation of numeric data, or of the course or results of an action or process.
I can see that limiting this to cartographic resources is the intention, since at least AACR2. However, what happens to other uses of the term "diagram" in RDA? For example, the Glossary definition of "genealogical table" includes this term. Isn't that a problem?
3.4.3. Spoken text. Proposed definition: Aggregated content that consists of a recitation of a text.
Is this always aggregated content? How does this term relate to "spoken word"? If the aggregated content is the only significant difference, this is a subtle difference in terminology that I would not expect end users to understand.
