On Thursday, October 13, during the 2022 Core Forum, Core will offer a full-day tour of University of Utah's J.W. Marriott Library and Faust Law Library with two unique tour experiences-one of which focuses on the underrepresented and marginalized communities of Salt Lake.

Presented by Allison McCormack, Original Cataloger for Special Collections at the University of Utah, "Historic Salt Lake: Underrepresented/Marginalized Communities" will provide participants with an opportunity to interact with a variety of rare materials illustrating Utah's unique history. Photographs, pamphlets, diaries, and other documents from a range of different communities, including indigenous Native American nations, Jewish agricultural colonists, Black political activists, and LDS feminists, will be available for viewing. The history of the state, and the Salt Lake Valley in particular, will be investigated through the eyes and words of members of diverse, underrepresented, and marginalized groups.
