    Hi Metadata IG colleagues-

    If you ever find yourself struggling to explain the value of persistent identifiers like DOIs, ORCID iDs, etc., an article in the October 2022 issue of College & Research Libraries News, "People, places, and things: Persistent identifiers in the scholarly communication landscape," provides a helpful and concise overview. Plus, it actually includes the phrase "core infrastructural functions"!
