Hi Everyone,
Dean Seeman from the FAST Policy and Outreach Committee followed up on a question Sherman Clarke asked yesterday about whether the British Library was adding FAST to original or copy cataloguing records. This is per Alan Danskin at the British Library:
At present, if the derived record has LCSH we would not add FAST. If the derived record does not have LCSH or FAST, it would be passed to a cataloguer for subject analysis and indexing. A large proportion of the records we derive will already have both LCSH and FAST and we would obviously leave those in.
