Core Preservation Administration Interest Group

Dear Colleagues,

To ensure the Preservation Section's ongoing leadership and effectiveness, we propose elections for the incoming chair-elect. This position involves a three-year term that includes serving as chair-elect, chair, and past chair, collaborating closely with a team of dedicated preservation leaders. 

We'd like to encourage you to consider running for this role or nominating a colleague who might be interested. Since our new Preservation Section began in 2023, we have completed valuable work to rebuild, share, and grow preservation efforts within ALA. We invite you to join us in continuing this important work! 

The only requirement for nomination is to be a current member of Core and to have enthusiasm for preservation work in its myriad forms. No previous leadership or committee experience in ALA is required. The chair-elect will join a supportive group of colleagues on the Preservation Section leadership who all navigate the ins and outs of Core and ALA together.
