  • 1.  PhD Research Request

    Posted Sep 04, 2022 08:46 PM
Please excuse any cross-posting. I have a research favor to request of you. I took a research residency course for my PhD program over the summer and it continues during the fall semester since IRB took a while to approve the study. Now I need to share it far and wide with faculty from a variety of institutions of higher education. I'm hoping for around 385 faculty and 375 instructional designers to complete the survey. Therefore, I have 2 requests for you if you are willing to assist in my PhD research residency survey research:

    1. Please complete the survey if you are considered faculty at your institution OR are an instructional designer/educational technologist working in higher education: https://briarcliff.libwizard.com/f/surveyresearch.
    2. Please share the following email with your faculty and instructional designer colleagues if you are comfortable and willing:

Hello, I am working on my PhD in Education in instructional design and technology. I am completing my research residency study and am hoping you would be willing to participate by completing this survey: https://briarcliff.libwizard.com/f/surveyresearch. The population for this research are individuals working in post-secondary/higher education institutions as faculty members or instructional designers/educational technologists. If you do not work at a higher education institution, please do not fill out the survey. The focus of the research is on universal design for learning (UDL), but you do NOT need to know about UDL to participate in the survey.

The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and will close on September 30, 2022. If you have any questions, please contact Breanne Kirsch atbkirs001@odu.edu or 712-279-5451. If you do choose to participate in the study, you have the option of sharing your name and email address to be entered into a raffle for a chance to win 1 of 5 $25 Amazon gift cards and well as sharing your name and email address if you are willing to participate in my future dissertation research. Winners will be notified via email after the survey deadline, the week of October 10. Thank you for your consideration!

    Sincerely,

    Bree
