Hi everyone,
Thank you for another great discussion at our October session! Here are some themes and takeaways:
- We discussed decreased participation in professional organizations like ALA
- How are we spending our time and limited resources-is there a loss of advocacy
- How are we ensuring connections with colleagues and members if there is decreased interest and participation in professional organizations
- We also talked about the role of library schools in helping to increase interest in the profession
- Some folks talked about starting new roles and how they approached that process
- We then switched to talking about AI and the role of libraries related to that. A couple of book recommendations

On November 5th at 11am PST/12pm CST/1pm MST/2pm EST we will focus on challenges associated with consolidations and re-organizations and will be facilitated by Danianne and Anne. Here is the link to attend and we look forward to seeing you then!
