Hi, could you share how to get the link for the upcoming discussions? I just combed the posts to the members community, but couldn't find it.
Thanks,
Lauren

Hi Andi,
Thanks for your question! Yes, the link should be the same each month. Looking forward to seeing you next month!

Thank you for the notes. I see I missed the announcement for the 9/3 meeting. Will the same link be used for every first Wednesday drop in? I'd like to add it to my calendar so I do not miss it next month. Thank you!

Hi everyone,
Thanks for a great discussion last week! Here is what we discussed, and please feel free to add anything I might have missed and we look forward to seeing you in October!
Cinthya
We generally talked about the start of the semester and the various activities we are working on as part of that effort:
- Welcoming student assistants back to campus and our respective libraries
- Beginning of the semester activities for students like conducting scavenger hunts and welcome events
- Working on strategic planning and some variants included looking at just the year ahead and filling out more of a work plan rather than looking at the entire strategic plan. We also talked about looking at how work aligns with strategic work and directions
- Acknowledge and review accomplishments from the past year as a way to celebrate and look ahead
- Some libraries migrated library systems to various platforms, so much of the time was spent working on that process which is complex and involves many stakeholders
- Budgets are an ongoing issue, with several libraries engaging in budget-related activities and planning for the year ahead which includes looking at areas of reduction and advocating for support with administration
- Some libraries are participating in sharing data for their institutions' accreditation work
- Finally, there is lots going on around facilities-space upgrades and maintenance issues that are being addressed
