Good morning all,
Thanks to those who were able to join the call last week; we agreed and will support to proposal to Core for a new type of group, 'discussion group.' You can see some notes in the 20230329 Core Technical Services Directors Agenda. Thanks go to Angie Ohler (Minnesota) for researching the group type and writing the proposal.
Claire and I also met last week to discuss ALA programming. We agreed breaking up the three hour meeting into two shorter meetings (10-11 am central, 1-2 pm central), with high level topics, will allow folks to attend as they need/want. For those who are in person, we can meet for lunch in between the meetings and continue conversation. The two topics we chose are Management and Administration and Living Our Values. If you are interested in presenting a lightning talk (5-7 minutes) under either/both of these, look for a form in the next few weeks to sign up. Further details and advertising will come closer to the meeting and once we have the meeting agenda finalized.
