    Hello,

Here are the notes from the brown bag session for the Project Management Interest Group from the May 2, 2024 gathering.  Anyone who was there, if you have something to add, please reply to this message.

Reminder: we will have a webinar-type meeting on July 11th at 1 pm central.  There is still time to make a proposal. Registration emails will go out starting in late June.

    Notes:

    • Brief introductions

    • Communication - can project management help?

      • Stakeholders - identify a communication plan with an understanding of the level, frequency, and method to distribute the information

      • Pull vs push

      • A mass email list option

    • Certifications

      • May be overkill

      • Shared PMI.org for articles

    • Consider using templates to draft a project

    • Tracking of projects

    • How to build a PM culture?

      • Helps if you have a rational/talking points about how PM can help

      • Consult on other projects to point out things they might not have considered

    • Done: Add to libguide: https://wiki.diglib.org/DLF_Project_Managers_Toolkit

    • Have a webinar on July 11th at 1 pm CT
