We have two open librarian positions– a Collection Development Librarian and an eResources Librarian.
Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's collection includes over three million items. Books, DVDs, databases, and other materials are available for customers to borrow or use in our locations and online. Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh hosts more than 2.9 million visitors each year. The library is viewed as a catalyst to improving quality of life in the region and is considered a key partner in the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County and in the growth and vitality of our community.
Collection Services staff select materials for all 19 Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh library locations. The Collection Services Department is a highly collaborative, motivated team that works closely together to ensure that the print and electronic collections at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh are inclusive, robust, and well-maintained. The Collection Services Department also provides collection support in Allegheny County through our Collaborative Allegheny Library Services. This department is based in our Library Support Center in Pittsburgh's West End neighborhood. The facility is home to our shipping, interlibrary loan, acquisitions, processing and cataloging departments with over 60 CLP employees working from the Library Support Center.

Librarian - Collection Development - Details can be found in the posting, but this position is primarily focused on adult nonfiction selection.
Librarian - eResources - This position will work with all types of eResources, but an interest in evaluating, implementing, and troubleshooting databases is essential.
