Thanks so much to those of you who were able to attend our Zoom chat today! We had a great conversation around vendor challenges, including shipping issues, discounts and price increases; Amazon's future as a library vendor; AV material availability, including a change in Great Courses no longer publishing their booklets; magazine and newspaper availability and working with vendors and publishers; and how we handle cataloging and shelving children's series with multiple authors. Thanks to everyone who chimed in, and even if you didn't, thanks for coming to listen and learn!
I'll aim for our next Zoom chat to be in April and will post a link to sign up once the date is finalized.
I asked this at the end of our meeting today, but I wanted to post this question to the whole group. We have the opportunity once again to schedule a meetup for our IG members at ALA Annual this summer in Chicago. However, I will not be able to attend ALA myself. If you are attending ALA and interested in a meetup, and if you're willing to facilitate the meeting, please let me know by February 4th! Facilitating the meeting will not be hard at all; we had a great group last summer who attended and it was a lively discussion.
In the meantime, please don't hesitate to use this group to post questions and share info!
