I'm Wilhelmina Randtke (I go by Mina for short). I used to work in digital libraries and have worked with digitization for digital libraries in the past. In my current role, I oversee technology at a large academic library across campuses in multiple cities. I keep up with features and pricing on digital conversion technologies for collections access, such as microfilm scanners and overhead book scanners. I am always interested in chatter about digital conversion and in keeping up with library technology over time.

Subject: Introductions and Welcome!
Hello and welcome to another year of Core Digital Conversion. I am your humble host for the next 11 months (since it took me this long to figure out how to post -yikes). I thought we could start by introducing ourselves and why we joined the DCIG. Also, if you have ideas of what you hope to get from this, I'd love to hear it.
I'll start - my name is Christine, but people call me Kitty (granddaughter started it 10 years ago). I work at a mid-sized urban library in Lowell, MA. I joined DCIG because we are on the cusp of a digitization project and I was hoping this would be a resource to help us get moving in the right direction by sharing ideas. I hope to meet some folks and hear about your projects, the good, bad and ugly. Also, I'd like to share some of what we are doing here.
Hope your summer is going well. Looking forward to meeting you all!
K
