IMLS Public Library Survey Data – Future Uncertainty and Preservation

    All,
    Happy Friday!
Due to recent pivots at IMLS, there's growing uncertainty about the long-term availability of the IMLS Public Library Survey (PLS) data-both in terms of future collection and continued access to historical files.
To ensure continued access, I've downloaded and archived the last 15 years of CSV files from the site, just in case the data is removed or no longer maintained. The data can be found here: https://www.imls.gov/research-evaluation/surveys/public-libraries-survey-pls
This dataset remains a critical resource for anyone interested in national benchmarking, particularly when comparing peer libraries across the U.S.
As of now, the most recent data available appears to be from 2022. If anyone is aware of another organization or repository that is collecting or preserving this data for the future, please let me know.
    Thank you,
    Bill
