  • 1.  How to Create Business Address in Another State

    For those of you who have done this before, how have you created a business address in another state? 

    • I've been told to get a PO box, but I am now seeing "virtual PO boxes." Would both work?
    • Are there other options? 
    • I don't think I'll need it forever. Would ending this after the tax year for that state be a problem?

    If I've missed anything, please let me know. Thank you!

    The state this public library is in requires that any company be certified to do business in that state. My LLC was created in Texas, but a requirement for this work was that I become a "foreign LLC" in that state. 

    I don't know if it is the same in other states, but for this one, one of the requirements was to have a mailing address within the state. By using InCorp as my registered agent, they take care of this for me.

    There are probably others in this group that know more about this than I do, so please chime in!
