  • 1.  Good paper on how digital has changed ownership

    Hi all,

     

    I haven't had a chance to review this paper in depth fully yet, but I'm impressed with it so far.

     

    "Something happened when we shifted to digital formats that created a loss of rights for readers.     This is of course the issue we have been working on with state laws:  how do we maintain collections when license terms are often unsustainable?

    Hi Michael, et al,

    I agree it's an excellent paper summarizing the current state of the eBook market, and especially the issue of ownership vs. licensing. It's a mammoth paper; took me about 3 hours to read the whole thing!
