Hello!
The discussion meeting of the Library Consulting Interest Group will be held on Sunday, June 25th beginning at 1pm (Central) at the Hilton Chicago in the International South room.
A portion of our time together will be spent learning about the Library Consultant Directory that is the result of a dedicated member effort. Carolyn Norman will intro this resource and share information for entering contact/services information and accessing the resource for professional use.
A suggestion came in for discussion/sharing at the meeting, I'm sharing it here to provide an opportunity for reflection prior to our gathering:
"Libraries consist of people from a diverse cultural background and it's a challenge to create an equal and inclusive work environment for all. I wonder if the library consultants can share their experience working with people from these different cultural backgrounds, such as the Chinese Americans, African Americans, Jewish Americans diaspora. "
All are welcome to join us for informal discussion and connecting time. This meeting will be in-person only.
