Subject: ARL Invites Applications for DEI Institute Faculty-Deadline October 21

    Greetings,

The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) invites applications to join the team of faculty who will support the implementation of the 2025 ARL Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Institute. This inaugural institute will take place March 17–19, 2025, at the Indiana University Indianapolis Campus Center, hosted by the Indiana University Libraries Bloomington, Purdue University Libraries and School of Information Studies, and the UC San Diego Library.

The ARL DEI Institute aims to increase the capacity of participants to effect positive change with and within their respective communities through the acquisition and application of specific knowledge, awareness, and skills related to DEI, organizational development, and leadership. This work is currently made possible through the generous support of an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program implementation grant (RE-254925-OLS-23).

The ARL DEI Institute is a three-day event facilitated by ARL staff and institute faculty. This faculty position is a contract position for the duration of the project reporting to the ARL director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Faculty responsibilities include the codevelopment, review, and facilitation of modules during the experience, as well as providing direct support to participants as they experience the institute components and work to tailor the institute content to be more applicable and actionable in their respective contexts.

    To Apply
Please see the position description for more details about the position and the application process. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Hawaiʻi–Aleutian standard time (UTC-10:00) on Monday, October 21.
