We have been looking for a film (microfilm, 35mm, 16mm, reel-to-reel, etc...) recycling vendor and have had a hard time finding one.  Does anyone in the group have a vendor that they use?  We would prefer to recycle over dumping them in the trash.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark Coulbourne

    Hi Mark-

We searched for a vendor last year to recycle microfilm and could not locate one that could reclaim the silver economically. The vendors were primarily interested in recycling x-ray films, which apparently have a higher silver content. I will look forward to learning if you are able to find a vendor.

    Fletcher,

That has been our experience as well, we did find one vendor GreenDisk and initially it looks like they will work for the majority of our materials.  They seem reasonably priced and you pay by the pound and you can use their boxes or your own.
