The editorial board of the Disability in LIS Journal (DisLIS) is looking for peer reviewers to support the growing interest in our new journal!
DisLIS is an open access, multimedia journal run by information professionals who work in various types of information-oriented jobs. Our publishing focus is to center the experience of disability within information work in a variety of institutional settings by focusing on the experiences of library or archive workers or users, or people who work with libraries in other ways. Starting July 2025, we are accepting academic articles, poetry, and notes from the field, in addition to media reviews. We use an open, collaborative review process. Whether you are interested in peer reviewing one or all of those types of writing, we have a place for you.
As we work to build this hub for disability in LIS, we welcome input from a diverse range of experiences with disability, LIS work, and scholarship -- from newbie peer reviewers to publishing pros.
To sign up, please fill out the volunteer peer reviewer form.
If you have questions, please reach out to us at DisLisJournal@googlegroups.com.
The future is disabled and it's already here so let's talk about it!
Best,
-Shanna
