  • 1.  Designated Chair for 2022-23?

    Posted Jul 20, 2022 07:13 AM
Hello to those of you on the AI and Machine Learning in Libraries IG,

I'm a member of the Core Interest Group Coordinating Committee. We are reviewing the Core IGs for this year and noticed your group does not have a designated Chair for 2022-23. If there is a new chair, please complete the May Report for IGs: https://alacore.org/handbook/interest-groups/report-form/ .   This form will ask for the new Chair when the May report is selected.

If your group does not have a new Chair for this year, this may be a good time for the group to ask for volunteers to lead the group.  Please let the IG Coordinating Committee know by August 15th of the new chair for your group.  Without a chair, the group will be added to the list of those to be dissolved.

    Thanks for your help,

    Donia

Has anyone volunteered? This seems like it's a valuable and timely IG, and I'd be willing to at least recruit a chair.    ---Mary

    Hello Mary,

No one has replied so if you were willing to recruit a chair, that would be great.

    Thank you,

    Donia

    Hi Donia,

Someone has stepped forward (Lencia Beltran) who would be interested in co-chairing this group with me. Is that fine with the existing members? What would be the next steps?  Thanks!
