Our university has been in a hiring freeze since the spring. During this time, we've seen both colleagues leaving for other institutions and retiring. For others who are working with hiring freezes or reduced staffing, have you come up with any creative approaches to technical services work, either changing how you perform certain tasks, or identifying activities that either do not need to be done, or do not need to be done just now, to create capacity?
