Core CC:DA Public Space

At ALA Annual we agreed to create a taskforce to study compound surnames in RDA with the following charge:

Submit a discussion paper that investigates compound surnames and their coverage in RDA, analyzing any potential gaps and making recommendations for proposed solutions to CC:DA for moving forward.

The taskforce needs to be chaired by a CC:DA member but anyone is welcome to participate on the taskforce. Please email if you would like to chair or participate on the taskforce.

This would be more of a discussion paper rather than a proposal focused on reviewing the issues and recommending ways to move forward. The taskforce would need to submit a preliminary report by our Midwinter Meeting.

• Robert Rendall
