  • 1.  Core Project Management IG Summer Meeting - Call for Proposals

    The Core Project Management Interest Group (PMIG) is seeking presentation proposals for its next meeting which will take place on Thursday, July 11th at 1 PM CST. 

    Presentations should be no more than 15 minutes in length including brief time for Q&A. The topic of your presentation should focus on anything related to project management in libraries, including, but not limited to:

    • How project management can aid in communication
    • How you built a culture of project management in your library
    • Project success stories
    • Methodology for prioritizing projects within your library
    • Best practices for organizing a project
    • Demo your favorite project management tool/application
    • Basic project management training

    Please fill out the submission form to send your presentation proposal to PMIG's co-chairs Kelly Sattler and Timothy Provenzano.

    The deadline for proposal submissions is Friday, May 31, 2024. The notification about the decisions will be sent out by Friday, June 14th, 2024.

    Hello everyone,

      We're still looking for a few folks to present on a project management topic. The presentations will be given as a "webinar" style meeting on July 11th at 1 pm CST. We've extended the deadline for proposal submission to be through June 12th. Decisions about the proposals will be sent by June 17th. 

    Presentations should be no more than 15 minutes in length including brief time for Q&A. The topic of your presentation should focus on anything related to project management in libraries, including, but not limited to:

    • How project management can aid in communication
    • How you built a culture of project management in your library
    • Project success stories
    • Methodology for prioritizing projects within your library
    • Best practices for organizing a project
    • Demo your favorite project management tool/application
    • Basic project management training
    • other ideas you have related to project management
