    Colleagues-

    A proposal has been submitted to RSC for their July 2025 Meeting, RSC/EOO/2025/1, Proposal to revise Guidance: Aggregates and Guidance: Diachronic Works following from RSC/TechnicalWG/2024/2/rev/Decisions. 

    NARDAC has asked for our response by June 23, 2025.

    Abstract
    This proposal puts forward revisions that are intended to clarify existing instructions under Guidance: Aggregates. Describing an aggregate and Guidance: Diachronic works. The revisions are intended to help cataloguers navigate more easily from the associated Guidance chapters to the relevant instructions on describing aggregates and diachronic works.

    I invite everyone (CC:DA members, liaisons/representatives, and others interested in the work of the Committee) to provide their comments or suggestions on this proposal, by  replying to this message or by starting a separate message in the CC:DA public space in Connect.

    Deadline: Close of business, June 20, 2025.

    Very nit picky comment, but under the "Describing an aggregate" section on pages 3 and 4, I believe "require" is missing from the "If at least one of the expressions or works.." sentence, but otherwise, this proposal looks good and the recommendations help clarify instructions for describing aggregates and diachronic works.
