I found this post, Addressing AI-Generated Materials in the Library Collection, from The Digital Librarian to be a very helpful starting point. The post links to some collection development policies that address AI. I think others may find this to be useful as they start to think about how they would like to address AI generated materials in their own Collection Development policies.
Another resource I found helpful, was a webinar on WebJunction this past winter addressing AI and Collection Development policies. It was recorded.
I've given the draft ALA Guidance a skim and I'll be giving it a closer read soon. It is a lot to digest.

I wanted to jump on this thread to share the draft AI policy that ALA sent out this week for member review, and the form to share feedback. This of course goes far beyond a statement in a Collection Development policy, but I thought it might be of interest.
If anyone else has an example of what you've included in your Collection Development policy about AI-generated materials, that would be great to see! We haven't added one to our policy yet, but I've been thinking a lot about what would make sense to add.

Hello-
Our Collection Development Policy is going to be coming up for review/revision. I believe it is likely we will want to add language at this time addressing AI-generated materials, in some way.
If your library has added language regarding AI to your Collection Development Policy, would you share a link to your policy? It would be great if I could get a range of policy responses to AI-generated materials, restrictive, nuanced, and permissive.
Thank you in advance.
