Are you seeking a new way to engage with subject liaison work and contribute to the profession? Are you passionate about collection services, assessment, and building inclusive collections? Resources for College Libraries (RCL) the ACRL/CHOICE bibliography of essential titles for academic libraries, is seeking new subject editors for the following disciplines:
• Education
• Latino/a Studies
• Law
• Linguistics
• Music
RCL subject editors manage the ongoing development of the core title list, with responsibilities including: selecting new title additions; updating, reviewing, and weeding current selections; integrating peer review recommendations; and maintaining and refining the subject taxonomy. Successful editors balance broad and deep subject expertise, familiarity with undergraduate teaching and research, and discerning judgment to develop the RCL subject collection of current and canonical works for academic libraries. This is a professional service opportunity and a peer-reviewed publication; editors also receive an annual honorarium.
Interested applicants should submit a CV, along with a brief description of subject liaison and/or collection development experience in the discipline, to Anne Doherty, RCL Project Editor, at adoherty@ala-choice.org.
