    The Core Competencies and Education for a Career in Cataloging Interest Group seeks proposals for its meeting during the Core Interest Group Week,  March 4-8. The group facilitates active conversation among librarians, library educators and information professionals about the current state of education and employment in cataloging and explores the relationship of cataloging practitioners and employers with library educators.
     
    The Core Competencies and Education for a Career in Cataloging  IG session will take place on Thursday, March 7th at 3:00 PM CT/4:00 PM ET
     
    We welcome proposals for 15 min presentation that show the use of the Core Competencies for Cataloging and Metadata Professional Librarians in library education, but also in staff training, hiring, professional development, staff evaluation, etc. 
     
    We look forward to providing an engaging session with 3 short presentations (15 minutes maximum) offered in tight succession + a brief Q&A session to follow.

    The deadline for proposal submissions is Friday, February 9, 2024. The notification about the decisions will be sent out by Friday, February 16, 2024.
