    The call for proposals for "Transforming Information, Libraries in the age of AI" is now open."Transforming Information: Libraries in the Age of AI", is a two-day virtual conference  that seeks to address the impact that Generative AI has had on libraries as a whole. This conference seeks to explore AI's impact on all types of libraries including school, academic, special, law, medical, military and all others. The deadline for submissions is September 5, 2025.

    Title: Transforming Information: Librarianship in the Age of AI
    Date: November 17-18, 2025 (Monday and Tuesday)
    Time: 10am-2pm GST-Please note all presentation and demos must be given live at the conference time
    Format: Presentations and Demos of AI tool use

    This call asks for submissions that speak to but are not limited to the following themes:

    AI Literacy
    AI and database integration
    Privacy, data protection and AI
    AI and Ethics
    Reference Services and AI
    Academic Research and AI
    AI in the Archives (Archives and Special Collections)
    Data Literacy and AI
    Cataloguing and AI
    AI and Library Instruction
    AI-Focused Library Positions and Recruitment
    AI Integration into Library and Research Workflows
    AI and Access Services
    Marketing, Outreach, and AI
    AI and Library Strategy
    Institutional AI Tool adoption

    Submissions can be 5-7 minute presentations or 10-minute demos of a specific tool, suite of tools, or AI-centered project.

    We welcome demo submissions that show innovative uses of AI tools, which would be at an intermediate or advanced level. This may include demos which demonstrate the use of custom GPTs/LLMs, APIs, agentic AI, programming, and other intermediate and advanced use cases.

    All presentations and demos should be in English.

    All library professionals (Librarians, administrative staff, library staff, library assistants, consultants, retired library professionals, etc.) are encouraged to submit. Current MLS and MLIS students are also encouraged to submit.
