If you provide professional development or staff training, this drop-in poster-session-meets-think-tank program is for you! Library professionals will showcase best practices and new ideas in continuing education.
We offer two options: virtual asynchronous as well as in-person at ALA Annual! This is an opportunity to promote your training talents, share your knowledge with attendees, and network with other learning professionals. Participants should be prepared to share a training topic or learning tip with attendees.
Attendees at the Training Showcase want to learn something new about training and development! What will you teach them? At our Virtual Training Showcase last year, the most popular "tables" focused on teaching attendees. The top three tables were Planting Library Joy, Virtual Reference (VR) Skills, and Opportunities for Leadership.

Virtual Training Showcase March 9-13, 2026
We're excited to announce our second annual Virtual Training Showcase, which reimagines our traditional in-person event in an online, asynchronous format! This virtual event maintains the spirit of our traditional training showcase where participants share valuable training tips while networking with attendees. The showcase will run for a full week (Monday through Friday), allowing participants and attendees to engage at their convenience. Check out 2025’s Virtual Training Showcase for inspo.
As a presenter, you'll create a virtual "table" to share your expertise and training innovations. We encourage creative formats that engage virtual audiences:
Presenters will share a practical training topic while also having the opportunity to highlight their expertise and/or services, ideally in a format that attendees can experience in 5-10 minutes. Each table will be its own webpage, and attendees will be able to leave comments. You'll be available to answer questions and engage with attendees throughout the showcase week.

Each presenter will be provided with a dedicated table to share their training topic and expertise. The Training Showcase is 90 minutes long.
Presenters are encouraged to bring their own materials such as:

Handouts and takeaway resources

Interactive demonstrations

Physical tools and training aids

Conversation starters

Business cards and service information
Note: No display easels or standard presentation equipment will be provided.
Your table is your canvas! This format allows you to engage directly with attendees through conversation and demonstration rather than formal presentations. Share a practical training tip that showcases your expertise while having the opportunity to network and promote your expertise.

How to Participate
Please indicate your interest in participating via our Google Form by the end of the day on February 6, 2026.
