As a past co-chair for the ERIG, I have offered to co-chair again so that the ERIG does not get sunsetted. I am putting out a call for a co-chair. Please share with your colleagues, I would love to re-establish the work of this group.
The Core Electronic Resources Interest Group (ERIG) is seeking a co-chair to serve a two-year term, beginning immediately. The term is July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025. The charge of the co-chairs is to work collaboratively to "provide a forum for the exchange of ideas among those persons working with or interested in electronic resources; to promote the acquisition and access of electronic resources collections; to strengthen communication and cooperation among persons working with electronic resources collections; and to contribute to the improvement of education and training of electronic resource archivists and librarians." Members must have an interest in the work of the group which includes programming for Core Virtual IG Week, facilitating discussion in the ALA Connect group, and planning a discussion at the ALA Annual Conference. The co-chair must be able to work between conferences and programming via Zoom, e-mail, and ALA Connect.
