Call for Core Bibliographic Conceptual Models Interest Group (BCMIG) Co-Vice-Chairs for 2024-2026

  • 1.  Call for Core Bibliographic Conceptual Models Interest Group (BCMIG) Co-Vice-Chairs for 2024-2026

    --- With apologies for cross-posting ---

The Core Bibliographic Conceptual Models Interest Group (BCMIG) is seeking two co-Chairs for the 2024-2026 term: the first year as co-Vice-Chairs and the second as (full) co-Chairs. BCMIG provides a forum for discussing the conceptual models that underlie current library metadata standards. We likewise engage with the emerging models and Web-native standards that support linked data applications and services, addressing both theoretical and practical aspects. If this topic appeals to you, please consider becoming a BCMIG co-Chair!

As co-Chair of BCMIG, you are expected to attend both the Midwinter Virtual IG Week meeting and a (likely virtual) summer session, and to participate in the planning and delivery of such sessions. The incoming co-Chairs learn by working alongside the existing co-Chairs, so no prior experience is required. Your term would begin in September 2024

If interested, please send your name, title, and a brief, informal description of your related experience and/or interests to Benjamin Riesenberg (briesenb@uoregon.edu, they/them).

We look forward to hearing from you!

    BCM IG co-Chairs (2024-2025):

     Benjamin Riesenberg
