Hello everyone,
As current chair of the Core Consortium Management Interest Group, I am seeking a volunteer to serve as co-chair, starting this summer!
(Current co-chair Hannah Rosen recently stepped down to pursue a career opportunity elsewhere in the nonprofit sector.)
Responsibilities are light and explained in detail in the Core Handbook. The co-chair should help to plan at least three programs per year (virtual programs in the fall and spring, plus an ALA Annual meeting in person if possible or virtual if not). Chairs also submit an activity report to Core twice a year. There are no term limits per se, but we like for chairs to recruit their successors. I expect to serve for one more year before stepping aside to promote new leaders.
The key requirement is that chairs must be members of ALA and of Core.
