Hello everyone,
Thank you Phil and Jennifer for your feedback on possible dates. I have created a Google document with possible dates and times in late February.
It would be helpful if everyone could try to respond to the doodle poll by the end of day on Friday, January 22, so we can reserve the CORE zoom meeting room. Phil, I am very happy that you are willing to organize/lead the discussion on virtualization of our workflows. Is there anyone willing to lead a discussion on either of the other two topics:
The increased interest in /use of born digital resources. and technical services plays or could play in the life cycle of these resources (e.g. creation, description, discovery, preservation)?
Has remote work and increased interest in born digital collection changed the core skills needed in technical services particularly, what new expertise do librarians need to effectively deal with this environment?
Warm regards,
Nina
Hi Nina,
I'd happy to organize/lead a discussion about the virtualization of our workflows. This may not affect many but there is the International Conference on Bibliographic Control in the Digital Ecosystem from 2/8-2/12. I speak on the first day so that would be bad for me but I hope to attend most of the days.
Philip
