    Good morning all!

Our multi-type library cooperative is updating its collection of maker stuff (and other items our area libraries might need to borrow occasionally). We have some of the usual suspects -- 3d printers, coding bots, tablets, button makers, etc. Are there any "best of" lists or core lists out there we could use to help refresh our maker library? I want to make sure we do not miss anything and that we are in the know for brands that are good in education/library settings. We are also open to other suggestions that are not really tech but that may be useful for programming and outreach for different kinds of libraries: public, academic, law, medical, special etc. I know this is a broad ask, so if it is redundant with other posts, please feel free to contact me off-list.

    Thanks!

    Hi Matthew and all!

We have been working on updating equipment and technology at our two King County Library System Makerspaces, and I found Chapter 7 in the book Makerspaces in Practice: Successful Models for Implementation to be very helpful in comparing our inventory to a survey of what other spaces are offering. I hope this helps!
