Join the Core Faceted Subject Access Interest Group as we discuss the Final Report of the PCC Task Group for Metadata Related to Indigenous Peoples of the Americas.

This report was released in April 2025. The discussion will focus on several controlled vocabularies listed in Appendix D. The FSAIG co-chairs will also give an overview of the entire report, which includes the results of a survey of library and archives workers who work with metadata related to Indigenous People.
Attendees will learn how to use a variety of controlled vocabularies that are specific to Indigenous People. This information will be immediately applicable when creating or enhancing catalog records for materials about Indigenous People. Come to the discussion to share your thoughts and / or learn from other attendees.
