We will have a panel of speakers on the topic of Datasets Acquisitions and Collections Issues by librarians from three different institutions.  Our panelists will be: 

• Bethany Blankemeyer, Serials & Electronic Resources Acquisitions Librarian, Duke University Libraries
• Sunshine Carter, Director, Collection Strategy & eResource Management, University of Minnesota Libraries
• Cindy Elliott, Collection Management Unit Lead, University of Arizona Libraries

We hope to have good discussion of the opportunities and challenges we're facing in collecting/providing access to datasets.  I've asked our panelists to address such questions as:

1. What kinds of research data has your library been collecting or providing access to?
2. Have you set some policies for library dataset collection at your institution? 
3. What kinds of licensing issues are you coming across for acquiring datasets?
4. How are you finding funding to pay for datasets?
5. How are you providing access to datasets for your users?
6. Do you have advice for other Collections and E-resource librarians in this area?
