The ACRL EDI Committee is preparing to launch an online directory to support academic librarians in their Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) initiatives. To build a robust collection, we are seeking submissions from academic and research libraries that highlight efforts in this space.
We recognize that DEIA initiatives are increasingly under attack, and not everyone is in a position to share their work publicly. However, documenting and preserving these efforts is crucial to ensuring continued progress. By archiving initiatives now, future advocacy can build upon existing work rather than starting from scratch.
To address these challenges and promote the directory, we will be presenting a poster and roundtable discussion at ACRL to gather input and engage with the academic library community. For those unable to submit initiatives directly, we encourage librarians-especially CARL members-to archive their work using our Dashboard or the Internet Archive to safeguard these contributions.
🔹 Submit your initiative here: Google Form
🔹 Learn more about the project: Q&A document
Please feel free to share this opportunity widely with your networks. Thank you for your support in preserving and advancing DEIA efforts in academic libraries.
