The ALA Core Technical Services Workflow Efficiency Interest Group (TSWEIG) would like to invite you to submit a proposal of a presentation, to be presented at the 2022 ALA Core IG Week, March 7-11. The program will be held online on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 1-2 pm (EST).
The IG will be discussing workflow trends and cases related to a variety of topics and welcomes your proposal.
Theme: Workflow Trends and Cases in Technical Services
Possible topics could include (but are not limited to):
- New workflow trends and cases in Technical Services in libraries
- Adoption of inclusive cataloging and its impact on workflow in Technical Services
- Linked Data and its impact on workflow in Technical Services
- Changing of cataloging rules/documents/tools and its impact to Technical Services
- Establishing workflow or lessons learned in transitioning to a new ILS
- Establishing workflow or lessons learned in transitioning to a new digital repository
Each presenter will be allotted 15 minutes (full presentation) or 5-10 minutes (light presentation). Please include in your proposal the following information:
- Presentation title
- Presenter name(s), affiliation & email(s)
- A brief (250 words or less) summary of the topic
- Time needed to present the topic
Please submit your proposal to the IG Co-chairs, Sai Deng (sai.deng@ucf.edu) and Yan Liao (ylia@loc.gov) by Monday, January 24, 2022.
